Kitchen

This is what I’m actually eating while working to stay strong, lose weight and stay independent after 70.

Nothing complicated. Just simple food–made a little better.

Upgrade Your Favorites

I didn’t change everything I eat. I just started making better versions of the same foods.

Protein Angel Cake

The regular version is light-but mostly sugar. This version keeps it light and actually fills you up.

  • I cup egg whites
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey
  • 2-3 tbsp sweetener
  • 1 tsp vanilla, pinch of salt

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.

*More protein means fewer cravings later.

Oat Protein Crackers

Regular crackers are easy to overeat. These are simple, crunchy and more satisfying.

  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 scoop protein powder
  • Water (enough to form dough)
  • Salt

Roll very thin and bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

  • Smoothies I Use to Stay Strong

These are simple, high-protein smoothies I use regularly to stay full and energized.
