“This isn’t a cure-but it may help you notice the ringing less, just like it has for me.”
I’ve had that ringing in my ears for a long time.
You probably know what I’m talking about–especially when everything gets quiet.
But I started noticing something interesting in my own home.
When I walk into a small room where the fan is running…
I don’t hear it.
When I’m talking with someone or working on something…
I don’t notice it at all.
I’ve even realized at the gym, I don’t notice it there either.
That got me thinking…
maybe the goal isn’t to get rid of it completely…
maybe it’s just to notice it less.
What I discovered
I started paying attention to when the ringing felt strongest…
and when it faded into the background.
It tends to fell worse when:
- everything is quiet
- I’m sitting still
- I’m thinking about it
And it fades when:
- there’s some background sound
- I’m focused on something
- I’m relaxed or engaged
My Method
The 3-Part Ringing Relief Routine
#1-Add Background Sound
I use simple sounds like a fan or soft audio so my brain has something else to listen to
#2-Shift My Attention
When I’m focused on something-conversation, work, even breathing-the ringing fades into the background.
#3-Reduce Quiet-Time Awareness
I’ve learned that complete silence makes it worse, so I avoid sitting in total quiet for long periods.
What I’m Offering
I put together a simple version of this routine that you can use yourself.
It includes:
- a few easy-to-use audio tracks
- simple guidance on when and how to use them
This isn’t a cure.
But it may help you notice the ringing less and feel more at ease-just like it has for me.
I’m not a doctor. I’m just sharing what i’ve found works in my own life.
If you’re dealing with constant ringing, I know how frustrating it can be.
This is a simple, practical approach you can try for yourself.
